A Work Day Logger backup file is simply a copy of the database file where all your log journal items are stored.
The database file that Work Day Logger uses is stored in the application cache area of your Windows setup. It is created automatically if it doesn’t exist, and it is this file that gets copied. To restore a backup, you simply copy the backup file to the location and rename it to workdayjournal.sqlite.
You can open the Work Day Logger cache folder by entering %localappdata%\Workday Journal in the address area of a Windows Explorer window.
Note: To overwrite the existing database file, you need to completely close Work Day Logger by right-clicking the icon at the tray or click Quit on the application drawer menu.
