I’ve tried several tools to find duplicate files, specifically picture files, but haven’t found one that I like. Don’t get me wrong, some are really good, but they just don’t behave the way I want them to or they’re to expensive. And some just don’t work. So, in the end, like so many other times, I just had to make my own.

Ric’s File Tools is not primarily for picture files, but it will find duplicate pictures based on filename and size (in the future by content as well). It’s fast, it’s easy to select the files you want to delete, it’s safe (as it can be set to backup the files before they’re deleted). And there is a feature to find empty folders as well.

I’m just finishing up the last issues before I can launch it on Windows Store.
